🫶 Supporting Women Recovering from Cancer in Kyiv

April 23, 2026

Women recovering from cancer were among the vulnerable groups supported through Ukraine2Power’s Winter Project. Emergency heating kits helped them stay warm and maintain basic comfort during a winter marked by blackouts and energy disruptions.

During this critical winter, Ukraine2Power brought around 6,000 heating kits across Kyiv and the region, most of them directly to people’s homes.

Among those we reached were especially vulnerable groups, including women recovering from cancer.

For them, the harsh winter conditions were even harder. Cold apartments, no heat, no electricity, often no water, and no way to cook or maintain daily routines, all while continuing their recovery.

🤝 With the support of Lesia Petrivska, Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the Kyiv City State Administration, and through “Together Against Cancer,” we were able to reach and support these women.

We will continue this work together, supporting those who need it most.
