Mobile charging station for hospital in town of Mena

Russian troops surrounded Chernihiv in February 2022. Although they were unable to enter the city, they relentlessly shelled it, causing widespread hashtag#destruction. As a result, the city was left without electricity, heat, and water. Numerous healthcare facilities, including hospitals and primary care centers, were damaged, further exacerbating the suffering of the civilian population.

The town of Mena, located just 70 km from Chernihiv, was occupied for two months. During that time, convoys of military vehicles passed through the town, and food deliveries were disrupted due to the destroyed infrastructure.

⚡️ At the end of last year, Ukraine2Power provided the Mena Primary Healthcare Center with a mobile charging station. This station powers refrigeration equipment for various types of vaccines during power outages in the outpatient clinic. The hospital employs more than 120 healthcare professionals and has over 30 departments.

💭 “The advantage of the system is its portability and the fact that it doesn’t require fuel. Unlike generators, it’s silent, and generators are loud and need a separate room for ventilation and exhaust gas removal. The charging station is really impressive and great for the environment!” a hospital employee shared with us.
