💙 A Day of Support for Families in Kyiv
Ukraine2Power distributed heating kits to families of children with disabilities during a Family Support Day in Kyiv, helping them prepare for the colder months ahead. The event also created space for families and partners to connect and discuss rehabilitation, healthcare, inclusive education, and other important needs.
💭 “We feel calmer now. We are preparing for autumn and winter, and we know we have not been forgotten.”
These words, shared by a mother from the “Litai” (Fly) community, remind us why support like this matters.
The generosity of everyone who supported Ukraine2Power this winter continues to make a difference. During the Family Support Day, parents of children with disabilities received heating kits to help them prepare for the months ahead.
Each kit contains heated electric blankets, power banks, pocket warmers, and first aid supplies. They continue to support households during power outages and air raid alerts, helping families cope with the challenges of everyday life in wartime.
Our Deputy Director Viktoriia Mamoilyk joined the event, spending time with families, our partners, and the dedicated people who made the day possible.
The event, organized by our partner “Litai” (Fly) together with Lesia Petrivska, Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities of the Kyiv City Council, created space for something equally important: conversations. Parents discussed access to rehabilitation, healthcare, inclusive education, and adaptive sports, while children enjoyed games, creative activities, and time together.
Our sincere thanks go to “Litai” (Fly), Lesia Petrivska, the volunteers, and everyone who contributed to this special day. Above all, thank you to everyone in Germany and beyond whose generosity continues to support families across Ukraine.
