🇩🇪🤝🇺🇦 6.000 Heating Kits. Closing the Campaign in Kyiv

May 14, 2026

Nataliia Fiebrig and Michael Pelke came together in Kyiv to deliver the final heating kits of a campaign they had launched together in Berlin months earlier. Throughout the winter, Ukraine2Power provided around 6,000 heating kits to residents affected by the energy crisis in Kyiv.

They started this campaign together in Berlin and finalised it together in Kyiv.

Nataliia Fiebrig and Michael Pelke, former politician and activist from Alliance 90/The Greens, launched this winter campaign to raise funds for heating packages for people in the freezing Ukrainian capital.

🫶 What followed was an extraordinary wave of solidarity, empathy, and support from people in Germany and beyond.

This week they are both delivering the last remaining heating packages to residents of a high-rise building on the left bank of the city.

Although temperatures outside are warm, residents use these items during power outages: gas stoves, power banks, and other items like sleeping bags in cold shelters.

Ukraine2Power has delivered around 6,000 heating kits over the past months, completing the full circle on our own: from needs assessment and buying, to sorting, packing, and bringing packages directly to people. Our team members say they don’t know what to do on weekends now, there were no weekends during the campaign.

All of this was made possible by people who generously supported us, and believe us, Kyiv residents appreciate this support more than words can say.
