⚡️ Kostiantyn Gura at Solar BESS Grid Forum in Kyiv

May 27, 2026

At the Solar BESS Grid Forum in Kyiv, Kostiantyn Gura highlighted the role of civil society in helping communities transform energy needs into concrete projects and funding opportunities. A key message was that local ownership and co-financing help attract funding and accelerate implementation.

At the Solar BESS Grid Forum in Kyiv, Kostiantyn Gura, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukraine2Power, spoke about the important role civil society plays in Ukraine’s energy reconstruction.

Today, NGOs increasingly act as project managers, supporting communities throughout the entire process: from project development to implementation.

At Ukraine2Power, we help communities prepare for energy resilience initiatives by assessing local energy consumption and needs, preparing feasibility studies and technical documentation. This significantly improves communities’ ability to access funding opportunities and attract international support.

🤝 One important point highlighted during the discussion was the role of co-financing. We strongly encourage communities to contribute at least 10%. This demonstrates responsibility, local ownership, and a genuine commitment to rebuilding energy systems with resilient and renewable solutions.
