Following the recent blackout in Southwest Berlin, the question of energy resilience feels more relevant than ever. How do we respond to sudden energy shortages? How can critical infrastructure be better protected? And what can we learn from countries that have faced repeated and long-lasting outages?

This panel brings together perspectives from Ukraine and Germany to share experiences and practical insights. Ukraine has been dealing with large-scale blackouts for years due to targeted attacks on its energy infrastructure. The discussion will focus on protecting critical systems, repair and recovery processes, and how authorities, energy providers, and communities respond during prolonged disruptions.
