«Ukraine2Power» Joins UNECE Bureau of Renewable Energy Experts - Kostiantyn Gura Elected as Vice-Chair
Kostiantyn Gura, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the NGO «Ukraine2Power», has been elected Vice-Chair of the UNECE Bureau of Renewable Energy Experts.
The election occurred on September 16, 2024, during the opening of UNECE Sustainable Energy Week in Geneva, Switzerland. “The world faces critical challenges in achieving energy security, and affordable energy has become even more crucial today. The ongoing war against Ukraine, initiated by the Russian Federation, and other military conflicts in Europe are severely impacting energy security. I strongly believe renewable energy holds the key to addressing these challenges,” said Kostiantyn Gura in his opening remarks. Nataliia Fiebrig, co-founder and director of Ukraine2Power, is also attending the UNECE Sustainable Energy Week. She will speak about the damage to Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the results of Ukraine2Power's efforts, and the growth of the electric vehicle market in Ukraine during the panel discussion titled “Cross-sectoral cooperation on cross-cutting issues: Mobility Electrification – Infrastructure Development, Grid Integration, and Resource Planning.” “The entire Ukraine2Power team congratulates Kostiantyn on his election to the UNECE Renewable Energy Bureau. His expertise in energy, especially during these challenging times with Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy system, will be invaluable. For Ukraine2Power, where Kostiantyn serves as Chairman, this partnership represents a valuable opportunity to expand our influence and positive impact on society,” commented Nataliia Fiebrig after the vote in Geneva. Under UNECE Bureau rules, Kostiantyn Gura will serve as Vice-Chair for two years until the next election.
