The solar plant generates approximately 50,000 kWh annually, saving the hospital around 550,000 UAH per year and significantly reducing its dependence on the national grid, especially vital amid ongoing attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

This project was made possible thanks to the support of our financial partner Solarspar, and in particular Andreas Dreisiebner, whose strong commitment played a key role throughout. We deeply appreciate his dedication and his decision to personally travel to Ukraine for the official opening of the solar power plant in Rozhniativ.

Importantly, the municipality of Rozhniativ co-financed this project, a crucial contribution that enabled its successful implementation.

At the opening, we welcomed representatives from many neighboring communities, who showed strong interest in replicating solar solutions to strengthen their own energy security and reduce costs. They toured the hospital, reviewed the equipment, and had detailed discussions with the chief doctor and installer about energy usage, savings, and solar output.

To fully complete the project, we need five additional batteries (25.6 kWh) to ensure uninterrupted power, even during outages.

One milestone achieved, with more impactful projects to follow.
